Sustainable INTERNATIONAL BIOFUEL SUMMITS & EXPOS 2008: St. Petersburg ? Madrid - Buenos Aires ? Rimini - Istanbul / Sustainability Certification Biofuels on the road.
The 2oo8 Sustainable INTERNATIONAL BIOFUEL SUMMITS & EXPOS will take place in 5 Key Countries to the Biofuels and Biomass industry: Russia, Spain, Argentina, Italy and Turkey.
The International Sustainable BioFuels SUMMITS & EXPOS give support to an economical, environmental and socially sustainable biofuel and biomass industry. For this reason, the 2oo8 Summits will not only discuss technological, regional and industrial matters concerning biomass and biofuels, but will also organise the first international workshops on sustainable Certification & Accreditation of biofuels. They will be presenting several certification standards options, accreditation requirements and the certification process as well as procedures for the approval of certification bodies. Among the profit and non profit organisations invited to the summits are the Round Tables on Sustainable Palm and Soy (RSPO, RTSR) and companies such as Intertek and Control Union, along with local country organisations who have developed their own initiatives. The Workshops will take place in all the cities, except St. Petersburg.Financial Focus
The St. Petersburg SUMMIT & EXPO will however be hosting the Financial Biofuels Workshop, which will also take place in all other Cities. The Financial Workshops will bring together financial stakeholders who are interested in agro-production as well as in financing, m&a’s and so on, of production facilities. They will explain the possibilities, opportunities, mechanisms and procedures to interested stakeholders who are looking for financial services. The Workshops will be coordinated by well established investment funds and other relevant stakeholders.EXPO
All the SUMMITS will have an Expo Area for those companies and stakeholders who want to take up the opportunity to get in contact with possible business partners to promote, brand, contact, try-out, and to launch or distribute their products, technology, services and opinions. In line with developments, the new website of www.biofuelsummit.info presents an area where we try to bring together all NGO’s and public bodies who are working for a more sustainable biofuels and biomass industry. Registration and participation for NGO’s is completely free of charge and the aim is to give all interested parties a single entrance area into this field.Business Area
A Business Area has been created next to the NGO Area. In this area, all those who want to do business in biofuels in whatever way, are welcome to register (not for free) and find partners and buyers/sellers. A completely new self-learning search engine, designed by the well known expert Rafael Lopez from Granada (Catalweb Consulting) does the trick. The search engine offers a great deal of opportunities for quickly improving business contacts in a single very operational and inexpensive application with a monthly entry fee of 25 €, the only thing it needs to start you working. No commissions are charged for any operations in the field and all operations are completely invisible to other users, guaranteeing user privacy.By placing these areas one next to another, the hope is that by looking into each others’ affairs every now and then, different stakeholders will in time better understand each others points of view as they can share information if they wish to read it.
Certification & Accreditation Area for Sustainable Biofuels
The latest novelty on the website will be the voluntary publication and updating of a list of all those companies and entities who want to apply for (and someday will receive) sustainable biofuel certification.
